Property
Description

Holly Grange is a truly breathtaking family home, the brilliant white late Victorian facade providing no hint of the sensitively-modernised interior, undertaken with exquisite attention to detail.

An expansive light-filled reception hall with a sweeping staircase and a feature carved stone fireplace with a double-sided wood burner, shared with the kitchen, breakfast, and family room beyond sets the tone for the luxurious nature of the remainder of the accommodation, configured over four floors. The sumptuous ground floor family and entertaining space provide a formal triple aspect sitting room with a feature bow window and cherrywood fireplace with inset wood burning stove, a large dining room with full-height glazing incorporating French doors to the garden terrace, and a fireplace with a woodburning stove and a well-proportioned study with corner bay window.  The show-stopping kitchen, breakfast, and family room has bespoke units including a large central island with a Belfast sink, granite worktops, a large six-oven Aga, state-of-the-art appliances, and a family area with a feature double-sided woodburning stove. There is also a generous cellar to the lower ground floor, suitable for a variety of uses.

The property provides five spacious bedrooms (6th Bedroom currently used as a Wardrobe), and five bathrooms arranged over the upper two floors, together with a generous fitted dressing room (previously Bedroom 6) on the first floor. Of note is the magnificent principal bedroom suite with its large bow window, feature cast iron open fireplace, fitted dressing room, private balcony, and stunning en suite bathroom with twin sinks, contemporary freestanding bath and double walk-in drench shower.

GARDENS & GROUNDS

Holly Grange enjoys a high degree of privacy and is approached through electronically-operated double entrance gates over a sweeping 150 ft graveled and block-paved driveway leading to a large turning circle in front of the property and giving access to the detached garage block with its electric vehicle charging point and adjoining gym.

Extending to around 2.5 acres in total, the landscaped garden surrounding the property provides ample opportunities for entertaining and al fresco dining with its hot tub and heated swimming pool with paved entertaining area. The remaining immaculate garden provides ample seating areas, including a covered terrace off the dining room, a large wraparound paved terrace, and a paved seating area, together with a brick-built pizza oven and a vegetable and fruit garden with a greenhouse, all enjoying stunning views over neighbouring Warwickshire countryside.

SELLER INSIGHT

“As soon as we saw the house, we knew it was the home we’d been searching for. Our dream was always to create a fabulous home and entertaining space at the heart of the Warwickshire countryside, but we had to wait until the right property came onto the market, one that met our criteria of having the potential to indulge our love of entertaining while providing a secure space for our growing family. When we found Holly Grange, we knew it was the one – we fell in love with the flexibility it offered to create beautiful yet functional family spaces, luxurious family and guest suites including our bedroom suite, designed to our dream specification, all with a modern stylish yet comfortable ambience. We love the house’s warm and cosy feel, with its numerous log burners and a large Aga in the kitchen – it’s a great Christmas house, with lots of space for all the family. We’ve also loved developing the garden – we have enjoyed seeing our children learn how to cycle and skate in it and have loved entertaining family and friends with lots of pool and garden parties. The garden has brought us such joy, with its seasonal colour changes and wealth of birds and wildlife and was also a great space for our puppy. We love it when friends, family and other visitors comment on how beautiful the house and garden are. We’ll miss both but hope that the next custodians will derive as much pleasure from them as we have over the years.”

RECREATION

The property is perfect for those wanting to combine keeping fit with fabulous entertaining opportunities, benefitting from a heated outdoor swimming pool with paved surround and timber summer house, a hot tub area and a state-of-the-art gym in the garage block, the latter with a patio door to the garden.

AREA

Regarded as one of the most sought-after villages in the area, the historic village of Corley and nearby Corley Moor are set amidst stunning Warwickshire countryside and yet are ideally located for the commuter, enjoying easy access to Coventry, Solihull and Birmingham and to other major regional centres. Mentioned in the Domesday Book as originally consisting of four villagers, two smallholders and three slaves, the village, home to the 16th century Corley Hall and Corley Rocks, a famed sandstone rock formation, now offers a good range of day-to-day amenities including a 12th-century church, cricket club, public houses and local boutique shopping
